However, you do need to keep your vehicle in good condition, which requires regular maintenance. These tools will help you with the various repair and upkeep tasks you need to complete on your ATV.

Wrenches

A variety of wrenches will help you to make quick repairs to your ATV.

  • Crescent wrenches are good for removing fasteners in various sizes.
  • Allen wrenches are versatile and good for bolts.
  • Torque wrenches let you accurately and securely tighten fasteners on your engine and your tires.
  • Breaker bars are extended wrenches that are very hardy and capable of getting really stuck fasteners loose.

Air Compressor

The tires on your ATV will likely lose pressure over hard rides, and having good tire pressure helps you to gain traction on muddy and slippery roads. If you have an air compressor handy, you can quickly air up your tires to the proper psi levels yourself. A compact air compressor can be taken along with you on rides to adjust psi levels on the trail.

Multimeter

Being able to gauge the power level and conductivity of your ATV’s electrical system will help you make diagnostic decisions about what you need to repair or replace. A multimeter is a convenient tool for measuring electrical conductivity, as it’s capable of measuring resistance, amperage, and voltage.
